Affiliate Summit 2011 is Amazing

With over 4,700 in attendance in the Las Vegas Wynn Hotel, Affiliate Summit 2011 is nothing short of spectacular.

Affiliate Summit Premier Affiliate Marketing Conference

Affiliate Summit 2011

Up from only 150 in attendance from just 5 years ago, the upsurge in the affiliate industry is growing rapidly, which is readily apparent trying to navigate the packed halls for this event.

The people I have met so far are amazing. Some of the most brilliant programmers, internet marketers and conversion specialists are in attendance.

In addition, I have had the opportunity to bump into the likes of DK (purpose inc), Gray Wolf a.k.a Michael Gray, SEO genius Stephan Spencer, John Chow (old school affiliate), Andy Rodriquez (Andy Rodriguez Consulting) and others from the SEO and internet marketing realm, in addition to the hundreds of underground super affiliates “crushing it” in their own respective online markets.

Hat tip to Shawn Collins (the Big Boss) on the event and the kick ass session from Drew Eric Whitman today (www.cashvertising.com) where he passed along over 26 years of practical advertising and consumer psychology compiled from the masters of marketing such as David Ogilvy, Claude Hopkins, John Caples, Starch Research and others.

In under one hour, Drew (The Direct Response Surgeon) Whitman’s action-packed session left you with all the tools you need to bring your A- Game to fine-tune conversions, regardless of what you sell to who.

Even heavyweight conversion optimization specialist Tim Ash from Site Tuners concurred, holding down a front-row seat in the event to absorb Drew’s masterful session in action.

I have to get back to the action now, with informative keynotes from industry experts, the meet market (where you can network until you drop) and the killer parties happening after hours (thank you Brian Littleton from Shareasale for the amazing 10th anniversary party at Tryst) there is no time to waste…

Hope to see you there next time, as this is an event you definitely don’t want to miss if you are serious about success in 2011.

Thanks so much for the glowing review, Jeffrey… it was great meeting you today! What an incredible group of people at the Summit. I’ve gotten so much positive feedback from those who attended that it made all the hard work and preparation worthwhile.

Thanks so much for your support and generosity. I wrote CA$HVERTISING for YOU! ;-)

Much Respect Drew. I can honestly say, I took 2 principles and applied them as a beta test using this banner – http://www.seodesignsolutions.com/images/seo-ebook-offer.jpg by:

    1. Putting the benefit first.

    2. Using illustrations (cartoons, converting through the roof) and

    3. Used an arrow to lead to the conversion objective, then -

    4. Informed the reader what to do to take action and gain the benefit (with simple by the numbers steps and visual aids).

The end result, our conversions went from 0.2 percent from random traffic to over 40% conversion with an over 95% conversion once they hit the landing page, here – http://www.seodesignsolutions.com/free-ebook

I even split tested the ad against another, which only has one slight variation of the word choice used to convey the benefit and one pulled through the roof, the other did not.

The age old acronym k.i.s.s (keep it simple stupid) is genuine.

Keep the clever stuff in your head and simply convey the message quickly and succinctly and people “really” get it.

This stuff is REAL POWERFUL and I encourage anyone who has not purchased a copy and read the book to do so, why?

because it works and is hands down, THE most practical information I have ever read on the subject of marketing in my 15+ years of working online.

This is not an elevator pitch, I am simply grateful and want to pass along a good thing to anyone who has ears to hear and eyes to read the message.

Great meeting you Drew and wishing you continued success in all endeavors. Can’t wait for part two or an offshoot to emerge, I most definitely think you will have an audience.

    All the best…

Wow – sounds like a fantastic time… wish I was there at the Affiliate Summit…
Dr. Drew has created “Cashvertising” as a definitive guide for anyone looking to crack the code on conversion models and the psychology of the value/benefit sale. Thanks Jeff for the updates.
I wonder if any one there has any idea how Domain Web Studio 3.0 is gonna rock everyone’s world with the built in Krakken and Last Keyword Tools; not to mention the new DWS “keyword window” showing exactly what the time-cost-benefit of going after any competitor and keyword will mean to me. Aren’t there only a few spots left to get in on the Domain Web Studio revolution?

    Hi Peter:

All scarcity aside, yes the spots are being filled and once it’s done, I feel sorry for those who failed to act. The DWS suite is the most advanced SEO platform I have ever seen.

    Will keep you posted :)

The session with Drew Eric Whitman was my favorite – I have to go back and re-read CA$HVERTISING now.

    Shawn:

Hat tip once again to you Shawn for putting together such an awesome event. The ASW 11 event was absolutely stellar. Great people, great food, networking opportunities and yes, Drew’s session was hands down worth the price of admission alone.

His tactics can take lackluster conversion rates to high double digits from a few simple tweaks. Looking forward to the next Affiliate Summit in NYC.

That’s great news, Jeffrey! I’m so glad that I was able to help you.

My presentation at Affiliate Summit West was one of my all-time favorites. Shawn just seems to attract incredible people to attend his events.

Talk about a success story. Shawn and I talked briefly about how the Summit grew and I’m so impressed with how, despite his remarkable success, he’s just the nicest damned guy in the world. There’s not a shred of ego and his focus is 100% on HOW TO HELP PEOPLE SUCCEED. Talking with him–although we met in person only once–was like talking to an old friend.

They say that any organization is only as good as its leaders. With this in mind, there’s no wonder why the Affiliate Summit just keeps growing and growing.

Much continued success to all my Affiliate Summit friends!

    Drew:

I still walk around with Cashvertising in hand telling everyone struggling with conversions about the benefits therein.

Drew, I would love to hire you to review some personal projects and sites we are working on, does the offer still stand?
