There is a simple solution that would have amazing repercussions: start using other search engines and recommending them to friends, family and readers. I suggest DuckDuckGo and Zuula. I especially like Zuula blog search because it ranks results by relevancy AND recency.

You nailed it on this one…

I can just see spammers rubbing their hands and employing scripts with the “parrot ping effect” echoing throughout the web as the non discriminatory algorithms are just “doing their job” under would-be normal circumstances.

Not like Google to pull a “me two” move like this without thinking about the implications.

What’s next “Ask” meets “Golfrom Beta”? with an interface that answers your questions before you ask them?

I can see this new Google Real Time Search being abused.

It’s already easy to use the Google GData Blogger API, & build a simple Dashboard to upload blog post (I’ve built my own), WordPress has their own API also.

I mean think about it, upload a blog post thru your own Blogger/WordPress Dash & within seconds delete the blog post, with the tick of a timer, upload the same blog post, rinse & repeat…

That would in theory keep your blog post popping up on millions of screens all day long.

Oh, what has Google started.
