Fine points. I particularly like the bit about velocity and IP diversity. These are some of the finer points of link building that many just don’t tune into – or perhaps just don’t understand. But you are right. The search engines can easily see this stuff. Matt Cutts talks about reliable “signals” all the time. I think you’ve outlined several here that people need to listen to in their quest for page 1.
