If You Want Quality Traffic, Create Quality Content!

I just wanted to touch lightly on the value of content development and building links. The quandary about SEO and link building can be summarized in one sentence. Links equal more opportunities for traffic, traffic equals more opportunity for links.
Want to Build Links?, Then Build Unique Content that Is Worthy of Links, by SEO Design Solutions.
Just like many ancient relics that grace us to this day, quality can stand the test of time. Similarly, you don’t just fool search engines spiders about the quality of your site or its relevance score. Armed with instantaneous due diligence scripts that check links (inquiring into the sites that link to you) and your sites age and online reputation in a nanosecond. The range and scope of search engine spiders equipt with artificial intelligence (AI) like prowess, can sniff foul play in a link profile and apply the necessary filters to inhibit gaming the system and unjustly dominating search engine result pages.

If you want to be the “go to” site in your industry, there are no short-cuts with long-term SEO, if you want quality traffic, create quality content. Whoever said building quality traffic is easy is more than likely trying to sell you an e-book.

The true distinction that elevates one site over the other is uniqueness, usefulness & entertainment value. By setting yourself apart from other “me too sites” who are quick to chirp off like parrots instead of focusing on core quality and content development, you gain real equity in the long run. Remember, your website is scalable, which also means so are the pages and the keywords you appear for over time.

The primary function of spiders is simple, to catalog a retrieve the most relevant result. I touched briefly on this point in previous post, but in conclusion, many search engine optimization factors are under your control (such as content, how you link to yourself, your site architecture, your tags that define your content). It cannot be stressed enough that core content development is a crucial component of online positioning.

There is no shortage of attention for any topic and search engines are hungry for more content to share. So, if you built it, “it being quality link-worthy content”, then the spiders will come and share it with millions of potential viewers already conducting searches for what you sell.

In conclusion, instead of thinking about search engine optimization as an objective, after the fact fix. Just re-cog-nize the way you embrace optimization and make it more of a forethought when embarking in online endeavors (as opposed to a crisis). It pays to avoid the future crisis that has not come through proper present-tense planning and creating optimized content in the first place.

In closing, if you must build links, start from your own site first, then attract quality backlinks from others who are at the helm of the industry albeit news, trade ad power-users are preferred. If your efforts are stellar, your content will serve as a guidepost for others interested in the topic and your site will become the “go to” site for that niche.

This is the most advanced form of link building there is to focus on quality rather than quantity. Just a few links from the right places with your main keywords can mean a world of difference such as from Dmoz, an edu, a do follow social media site or other trusted site.

The question is not whether or whether not to build links, but rather a question of how…

Great Post, and so true-adding quality, compelling and interesting content to your website regularly is the best way to build your presence on the web.

Distinguish yourself as an expert in your field and visitors will keep returning to your website, as well as the search engines sending you more traffic

You’ve touched upon a subject which isn’t openly considered as one of the most important aspects of building blog traffic.

Creating quality content is the only way forward if you’ve any aspirations of long-term blogging success.

    All the best,

    John.

David and John, thank you both for your comments. I agree, what’s the point of bringing the horse to the water, if he isn’t thirsty.

Much in the same way, offering someone off topic content of poor content with SEO makes little sense.

In fact, if most companies spent as much money on “content development” as they did “advertising and promotion”, they could reduce their outlay of capital while increasing traffic and market share exponentially.

Quality Content Works! it is truly timeless and provides its own return on investment in the present (while people read it) and future tense (when they link to it) to anchor website authority.

    Look forward to addition comments.

SEO has two targets- customers and search engines. customers like quality content and would like to visit regularly to check updates and search engines would like to crawl your website if you update content frequently and if it is quality content , you can be assured of traffic to your content rich website.

    hey Jeffrey.

you constantly blow us away with your ability to both describe what to do, and to do it, on your own site simultaneously, whilst writing about it.. :) but then you know we’re probably your #1 fans anyway dont you ;)

Kev, I am not sure that everyone knows that, keen of you to point it out. Why not, a blog is supposed to be a web log right? May as well document the process of authority in it’s development.

I think most probably assume I am just writing about it, but as you noted I believe in practicing what you preach. Hows the ranking holding up for SEO Design?

Quality of content matters most. Readers keep following your site if they found it interesting and something to learn on or to know.
