All right, we admit that we followed this Search Engine Strategies session as much for our own sake as for the benefit of our readers. We make active use of contextual pay-per-click ads to cover our bills, and listening to experts like Jennifer Slegg and Jeremy Schomeaker is always a pleasure.

Hi, as a full time internet marketer and special website conversion tec, I see many people wanting a website design that looks good. Well they get caught up in the “looking good syndrome” as I call it and not focus on what really makes them money…the conversion and marketing of their website.

To create a strong website in the search engines and drive traffic to it you are going to need a top position in the search engines.

I appreciate and agree with your note on contextual linking as apposed to reciprocal linking. Reciprocal linking is old news and has no real power anymore. To rank high in the search engines we need “one way links” (back links) coming to our website.

I am a firm believer in all “white hat” strategies when it comes to obtaining back links…I would not want to risk being banned by the search engines so I encourage all to follow the correct path of obtaining strong (white hat) back links.

When I started online and knew little I focused on calling other people in my niche trying to convince them to place a link to my website with the promise, I would do the same in exchange. Well a lot of work for nothing. Now, as a Website Design technician I only believe in one way links and encourage business owners and webmasters alike to only use one way links.

There are many services online today that provide contextual link building and seo services so hiring a professional is the key if you don’t know how to implement the strategies yourself.
