Nice Post!!!

Analyzing the data is must for every SEO no matter how high he is, there will be always someone behind trying to catch up and if you become complacent you will become the victim.

I call this "smelling the cheese", you need to constantly smell to see, if fungus is growing on your rotting stock.

Hey Jen:

So often I thought about a way to integrate this simple concept into a post and something just clicked today. Viewing SEO like a voyage puts everything in perspective. It truly is amazing that so few go back and harvest relevant data from the viewpoint of chronology and priority.

Those keywords from 3 months ago or 6 months ago should be just as big a target as your new focus, since it really is about managing the growth of your keywords holistically.

I am glad you like the post and as always, thanks for stopping by.

Great post! It's amazing how few websites actually do a good job of tracking results over time. This is a problem even for Enterprise Clients because although they may have invested '000's in analytical software it still takes scare resources to run the reports and analyze the data.
