Albeit the fact that this is the first video of the series, it is rather basic (on purpose) and designed for those unfamiliar with the context of SEO. Hi Jeffrey,
your videos are a great idea, although I could see some improvements in their production.
Since the world is as Dynamic today as it wasn’t “ever before”, I would suggest making the slides and commentary a bit more dynamic, too. You might want to use some background music. There are lots of dynamic free 30-second loops for this purpose all over the Internet.
Also, the commentary itself could use some energy boost, perhaps some more accent on the important parts to really bring them up to viewer’s attention.
As a great example, you could review StomperNet’s videos – they really sell and educate, too. Just an idea…

I agree, the fist videos of the series were definitely not as dynamic as I had anticipated. It was riddled with technical difficulties and this was take 5 (30 min segments each), due to technical difficulties and much of the verve was diminished.
We intend to infuse a more on screen tact with some slides in the future follow ups, allowing them to go in depth on one specific topic and show lots of examples.
Thanks for your honesty, and yes it is a new medium, so it will just take some adjustment time. Far more effective than just blogging and far less time consuming indeed.
