@Data Entry: Thanks for visiting (and using the SEO Ultimate Plugin) we put a ton of features in there, and have many more scheduled for release soon.

@Web Design: Internal links are just as important as external, but deep link percentages are also vital for individual keywords to become buoyant. This is why RSS is a great way to build natural links as a side-benefit of structured content creation.

@ Marketingwissen: Sure thing, thanks for visiting.

@ Chinese Visa: Video is hosted on Youtube, perhaps try typing the title there. Also, the entire point of video at least for us, it to cut down on the content creation time…and yes, RSS is a great way to augment other SEO methods.

@Software Localization: Thanks for the props…

@Morten: Your welcome, and if people are looking to scrape and use blog and ping methods, I agree RSS is lazy, however for your own content, always a good idea (since you never know who might link to you).

All the best to you all and thanks for commenting.

Well good post!Backlinks are a link to your website from another website. When they see the link on someone else’s site it sends the spiders over to your site and they index your site getting it placed on a search engine organically instead of you going over and entering it.This is one way to get traffic more on your website.

RSS Submission is a solid way of building backlinks to your websites. You can use some sort of software to ease the process of submitting the RSS to many RSS aggregators.

You can also generate an RSS feed out of a list of URLs (Profile Link URLS) to help them be indexed by google .

SEO is getting more and more competitive day by day and ranking for a keyword takes that much longer. Traditional link building methods are not sufficient anymore. One has to look at other approaches such as via RSS feeds as you have mentioned in your post.

thanks for the tips. Do rss feeds still provide seo power through pinging sites that aggregate blog posts? or has this benefit become worthless due to abuse?

    Hey Chris:

Deep links are deep links, depends on who pings and or does a trackback, but all you need are a few good links to give an internal page a boost…I would not stop using RSS for link building anytime soon, there is still value.
