Cultivating Organic Rankings through SEO

Although rankings in this region of the page are often the byproduct of organic search engine optimization, there are SEO best practices and protocols to produce this type of natural positioning for your business online.

Organic SEO is all about a steady increase of keyword cultivation and growth of natural “organic” listings over time. With over 200 metrics which are constantly in flux with relevance weights changing daily, things that garnered top rankings in Google previously may in fact fall flat in today’s new and improved algorithm. One thing that is certain is form and function must coincide to facilitate a higher degree of relevance for the end user of search engines.

What are the hallmarks of Organic SEO? Advantages such as appearing in the top 10 results whenever a potential prospect enters a query in Google for broad or exact match keywords that correlate to the subject or “optimized keyword” is the main benefit.

Also consider that organic traffic gets 8 out of 10 clicks from search engines, even though that traffic may convert lower for sales, the volume of exposure is a great method to increase prospects sifting through your sales and conversion funnel.

You can spend money on PPC (pay per click), buying ads from blogs or websites that have established themselves as traffic sources, use offline advertising (such as promotions, radio, television and print) or you can align your website with subjects that people are already searching for and funnel visitors by affinity, relevance and popularity.

What are the main ingredients for creating a successful organic SEO results?

  • Choosing the right keywords.
  • Creating relevant content.
  • Using corresponding titles, URL structures and internal links.
  • Traffic and engagement (social media, newsletters, editorial links from others).

Organic optimization is all about creating a relationship with either (a) other sites – by facilitating their needs who in turn visit your website, link to you and elevate your websites authority or (b) creating such a useful resource of useful and informative content that search engines identify your domain as an authority set “the crowning achievement” or representation of the topic in their index.

In either capacity, the result is hordes of free traffic for multiple related keyword variations. Although the correlations also shift within the algorithm itself (based on purely on page factors or a variety of on page and off page factors) the semblance between the two are the weights which determine who ranks for which keywords based on the continuity of content, links, trust and authority.
